| Mark/Trèce
is committed to using the latest prepress systems and technologies
to help our customers achieve the highest possible level
of print quality. We utilize the complete suite of PCC software
designed specifically for flexographic requirements. We
offer customized step and repeat, vector and pixel-based
trapping solutions, and offer large format film output (40
x 50").
We accept files
from the Macintosh and PC-compatible platforms and have
import capabilities for many proprietary prepress systems.
Mark/Trèce's seven
locations are networked using a VPN via High-Speed Internet
connections to ensure that all our resources are available
whenever you require them. |

| PRESS
CHARACTERIZATION AND DIGITAL PROOFING |
 |
| We
are committed to offering our customers the best in print
prediction capability. To that end, we offer DuPont Color
Management and proofing. Density-based fingerprinting is
now replaced by precise measurement of the color gamut which
your press is capable of reproducing, taking into account
substrates, ink color, trapping issues, and press gains.
This information is integrated into a profile which allows
our proofer to show how your job will print with a level
of precision previously not available.
We also offer a
full line of analog proofing options including overlay and
laminate proofs, and large format plotter and inkjet proofs.

| FLEXOCAL
IMAGESETTER CALIBRATION & HYBRID SCREENING |
 |
| Mark/Trèce
was among the first in the flexographic industry to offer
PCC Flexocal Imagesetter Calibration technology and Hybrid
Screening. Together, these techniques allow you to print
with a degree of quality often thought reserved solely for
non-flexo print technologies. |
 |
| FLEXOCAL
NON-LINEAR IMAGESETTER CALIBRATION |
 |
| This
technology allows us to produce film and plates with a smoother,
rounder, better plating dot. Plates produced in this manner
can hold much smaller minimum dots, gain less, and achieve
more saturated color. Flexo image cutback is applied in
the imagesetter calibration, preventing the "grey-level
loss" that plagues conventional flexo prepress technologies.
The grey level loss is responsible for banding and lack
of detail in the highlight range of the image. Ask your
Mark/Trèce sales representative how FlexoCal, combined with
CIELab press characterization, can bring your printing to
a whole new level of quality. |

| HYBRID
SCREENING |
 |
| Have
you been forced to accept "highlight break" as a necessary
evil of flexographic printing? The excessive highlight gain
and minimum dot "requirements" have long been considered
an insurmountable obstacle in the path of high-quality flexographic
work. Some users turned to stochastic screening to combat
this problem, but found that stochastic had problems of
it's own - excessive dot gain, grainy reproduction.
Hybrid Screening
combines the best of stochastic and traditional screening
by creating a smooth transition between stochastic highlight
dots and conventional screening through the rest of the
print range. You can now print highlights which truly fade
to zero, and have precise control over subtle pastels and
shadings previously near-impossible to achieve in print
production. |

| COLOR
SEPARATIONS |
 |
| The
flexographic print environment offers challenges to achieving
image fidelity not encountered in offset printing. That's
why we offer drum scanned color separations customized to
your print conditions. We're committed to offering the latest
in color management technologies, allowing us to integrate
your press conditions in our scanning, proofing and softproofing
workflow. The result is printed images which are precisely
matched to the gamut of your press.
