Built in 1885,
the barn was used as an "ordinary barn" until 1960, housing
cattle, hay, etc. The barn was vacant from 1960 until 1979.
In 1979 Richard A. Godfrey, CEO of Mark/Trece, Inc., began
renovating the barn using field stone, oak pegged timber
and slate from another old barn in the surrounding area.
This restoration project took a period of three years to
complete and now houses the Corporate Offices of Mark/Trece,
Inc. This unique facility has been visited by suppliers,
clients, and industry associates from around the world.
